Family Psychoeducation

Family Psychoeducation (FPE) is designed to help a consumer’s family learn about his/her illness and be part of the treatment process. Initially, a TTI staff member meets with both the consumer and the consumer’s family to talk about the consumer’s symptoms and come up with ways in which the family can work together to help the consumer move toward recovery. After this initial meeting, families begin meeting in multi-family groups every two weeks for the first phase of treatment and monthly thereafter.

TTI also offers educational workshops to consumers and their families as part of FPE.
