Occupational Therapy

(Oakland County only)
Occupational Therapy is used to increase clients’ independence, whether it’s through teaching them how to or helping to arrange adaptations that enable them to do as much as they can on their own. In addition, supports are developed for the things they cannot do.

TTI’s OTAL (Occupational Therapy Assistant, Licensed) provides assistance and education to individuals needing to enhance their daily living skills (such as cooking, cleaning/organizing, grocery shopping and budgeting). As part of occupational therapy, an assessment of a person’s independent living skills is also conducted to assist in determining the appropriate level of care.

As leisure activities and community involvement are important aspects of every person’s life, the OTAL can also assist consumers with finding and participating in activities they enjoy.

TTI’s OTAL is available to all staff for consultation.
