Cognitive Processing Therapy
A 12 session evidenced based practice that will allow individual therapist to have another therapy modality to better serve individuals with PTSD and trauma. The CPT training will provide education on what PTSD is, how individuals utilize assimilation, accommodation and over-accommodation to process information from traumatic events they experience, assisting the individual to identify the stuck-points they have due to their trauma, reviewing impact statements with individuals, differentiating between emotions and thoughts, and Socratic questioning.

Advanced Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing has many applications. However learning to use motivational interviewing strategies is often challenging. This workshop will examine the supervisory role in coaching and mentoring clinicians in their MI development. We can support clinicians in their work with individuals with behavioral health, substance use, and/or integrated health needs. Reflecting on and reviewing core/foundation MI skill sets is the focus in the morning while supervising those skill sets is highlighted in the afternoon. Using motivational interviewing during supervision is also a point of discussion. Opportunities for practice and questions will be provided.

This workshop explores the basis of anxiety, frustration, and stress within the work that we do and goes on to address strategies for taking care of ourselves. Participants will identify the difference between compassion fatigue and burnout and some of the issues affecting them. Effective Benefits Application
Participants will learn the intricacies of assisting persons with disabilities in the preparation and submission of SSI and/or SSDI applications. Using the nationally recognized Stepping Stones to Recovery curriculum, participants will discover the fundamental reasons why applications are rejected and how to improve the probability that qualified applicants are successful from the get go. Avoiding denial, subsequent appeal, and years of waiting is the goal. Professionals will examine their interviewing skills, learn to identify and write about functional impact, identify strategies for collaborating with key stakeholders in the application process, and learn how to prepare medical summaries.
